Partial Solar Eclipse at 29 Virgo

Sharing is caring!

The New Moon today was powerful and promising. All New Moons can be likened to a seed planted that may bloom in the future. But today we also experienced a partial Solar Eclipse, meaning that the Earth cast its shadow momentarily across the Sun as the Moon passed by.

The “black-out” -albeit metaphorical -can be disorienting and confusing, not to mention difficult on the body. So before we say anything about this lunation, be glad you are interested in the sacred work of self care.

Today is a day to be gentle with things, especially because the Sun and Moon are conjoining in the last degree of Virgo, the sign that rules bodily systems like digestion. We find ourselves at the end of the material experience, things might be crumbling into dust. As they say, eclipses portend major beginnings and endings of life chapters.

And there is much hope and promise embedded in the sky right now! We might be feeling the pressure of extreme responsibility, since the Sun is tightly opposing Saturn, but it is a noble responsibility that if attended to correctly will align our long-term path.

We are also very supported today by Venus’ co-presence with the Sun and Moon in Virgo. Venus is the planet of beauty, love and pleasure – and she basically makes everything a little sweeter. And the Moon will soon carry her message into Libra, her home, while also escorting Mars out for some peace and unity there.

Lastly, Jupiter’s optimistic, exalted, and expansive trine to Saturn in Pisces gives us the emotional stamina we will need to fulfill our noble duties.

Seed something big now, for the skies await your commitment. ❤️
